Craving something sweet? Don’t want to loose the momentum of healthy eating? Want a chocolate fix? This healthy orange chocolate mousse is perfect! Light, tasty and satisfying with all natural healthy ingredients. This dessert will not dissapoint.

Raw cacao is rich in flavonoids which are potent antioxidants, they help relax blood pressure through the production of nitric acid in the body and also helps to balance hormones in the body.

Chocolate Mousse


1 1/4 cup almond milk

1/3 cup coconut oil

10 fresh medjool dates

1/4 cup honey

juice of 1/2 orange

zest of 1 orange

1/4 cup raw cacao powder

1 tsp vanilla

Pinch sea salt

1 tbsp. gelatine (or agar agar for a vegan option)

boiling water

Gently heat coconut oil and honey on the stove to liquefy the oil. In a high powered blender like the ladyship¬†blend the almond milk, dates, orange juice and zest, cacao, salt and vanilla. Blend on auto setting for 1 minute until it’s light and frothy. Add the coconut oil honey mixture and blend for 30 seconds. Mix the boiling water with the gelatine until thoroughly combined. Add to the chocolate mixture and blend again for 30 seconds.

Pour into single cup servings and refrigerate for four hours until set.

Decorate with fresh berries or coconut. Serves four.
